The project, located at the Olusossun Landfill, one of the largest landfills in the world, explores the multipurpose aspect of the stadium by designing the stadium as a simultaneous location for food production. This responds to the fertile quality of the soil of the site and makes use of the agricultural potential of the site. The project approach seeks to explore the possibility of developing a multifunctional stadium in  a performative landscape that is tied to the urban context and acts as an extension of the existing systems around  the site.  It  incorporates a  long- term  goal of  remediating the site while still making use of the existing opportunities of the site. It serves as a circular economy where production and commerce takes place on a common field setting up a symbiotic relationship between the two. The landscape models itself on the footprint of the trash left on the landfill sill prior to remediation and acts as a palimpsest of the former use of the land as a waste dump.
