Al Nasseriya Revitalization Project is part of a studio-wide effort to propose a strategy to revitalize the neighbourhood of Nasseriya in Sharjah. This project , the Urban Incubator, proposes a mixed-use complex combining living an working spaces to combat the issue of long travel distances in Sharjah thereby reducing the overall carbon footprint of the neighbourhood. The incubator provides an array of functions including residential, retail, sports and co-working spaces integrated within a hierarchy of public realms such as parks, multi-functional sports fields, cycling and running paths. This amalgamation of amenities within proximity extends the principle of sustainability by bringing a variety of social and economic groups within the same complex, thereby ensuring the longevity of the community.
